Uthaman College was established at Marathamcode near Kunnamkulam town on 15th May 1983. The motto was knowledge, success and the perseverance. This is a fast growing educational institution under Uthaman Educational Trust with strong academic team, infrastructure and dedicated to the aim of making the students good citizens. It is the aim of the college to participate in the task of inculcating necessary knowledge, skills and creative attitudes and values among the youth of the country to contribute more effectively towards establishing an equitable social and economic and secular ideal of our nation. We offer under graduate programmes, post Graduate programmes, PG Diploma programmes, Diploma programmes and certificate programmes of various Universities in India. We offer parallel classes, Regular classes, and Distance Education programmes and Lateral entry schemes. More than 150 courses of various universities are offered through different schemes.
The main agenda of the college is to provide higher education to all those desiring and deserving. Since its inception 1983 the college has been rendering yeomen services in the field of higher education. At present we have more than 500 students studying in different programmes like +2, BA, B.COM, BBA, B.CA, B.SC Maths, B.Ed, MA, Mcom, MBA, Information Technology and Diploma and certificate courses. Added to this are the use of the state of the art technology. Students will have a fascinating learning experience with our efficaciously designed self learning materials which are essentially learner centred. Added to this is further supported by Audio and Video teaching as well. They are also prepared both in English and Malayalam language keeping in view the requirements of the stakeholders to equip learners for facing the future challenges. To support student under open scheme (on the basis of age) the college has designed and implemented the bridge courses in form of preparatory programmes. The college is proud to announce that it is at par with any of the leading college in south India and definitely much superior to the correspondence education as it adopts various methods to compensate the lack of continuous face to face contact between the teachers and students. Accordingly, many students have graduated from this college over the years. The college takes pride in announcing that it has introduced several new degree and diploma courses during this year.
